General Battery LT42E

Cub Cadet LT42E Lithium-Ion Riding Lawn Mower run time and battery recharge time

How long will the mower last per charge?

The LT42 E Lithium-ion Electric Riding Lawn Mower has a 3000 watt-hour, 60 amp-hour, 56-volt max battery, which provides energy to mow your lawn for up to one and a half hours, or up to two acre per charge. If you still have additional mowing to complete, the anytime fast charger will allow you to partially recharge your mower to finish the job.

How long does it take for the battery to recharge?

When you’re done mowing the battery only takes approximately 4 hours to fully recharge! That’s unlike lead-acid battery riding lawn mowers that require overnight charging. This is the benefit of the anytime fast charger included with your Cub Cadet LT42 E.

What happens if I run out of power in the middle of mowing?

The Cub Cadet Lithium-ion Electric Riding Lawn Mowers will alert you that the battery capacity is low by flashing the right most battery segment on the LCD of the Vehicle Control module (VCM).  If this happens while the blades are engaged, the blades will automatically shut off to help conserve power. When this light starts flashing, it is recommended that you drive to your charging location to recharge your mower. The fast charger will allow you to partially recharge your mower to finish your project or you can fully recharge your mower in 4 hours.

What is the expected life of the battery?

Operating under normal conditions and care, our rechargeable Lithium-ion battery will last for the lifetime of the product as defined in the operator’s manual. Additionally, Cub Cadet offers a 3-year limited warranty that protects your mower and 4-year battery warranty against manufacturing defects.
